One number instead of a spreadsheet.
Finemy is a free household budget app for the phone, which we designed and built for Coal Software. You set an amount for the month, log expenses in a few seconds, and the app always shows how much you can still spend. It runs in the browser, in Polish, and can be added to the home screen like any other app.

The problem
Most finance apps bury people in charts of what has already happened. The question people actually ask at the checkout is simpler: how much can I still spend before the end of this period?
What we built
Finemy answers that one question first. A budget for a chosen period, expenses logged by hand in seconds, and a counter on the main screen showing what’s left. Statistics and export are there, but they come second.
Why it is interesting
Logging expenses by hand is a deliberate design decision, not a missing feature. There is no bank connection, so nobody has to share account access, and typing in a purchase means actually noticing it. Privacy is part of the product: no ads, no tracking, and the database runs in the European Union.
Who it helps
People in Poland who want a simple household budget on their phone, without connecting a bank account.

How it works
Plan the budget
Enter an amount and choose the period: a week, two weeks, a month or custom dates. A month can start on payday rather than on the 1st.
Log expenses
Tap plus, enter the amount and pick a category. A description is optional, for when you want to remember what the money went on.
See what’s left
The counter on the main screen shows how much is still available. When less than 20% of the budget remains, it changes colour as an early warning.

Export every expense to CSV for a spreadsheet; delete the account and all its data with one button.

What is measured, and what it doesn’t do yet
Outcome No usage or outcome figures have been measured or published yet.
- Each account has its own budget; a budget can’t yet be shared between two people.
- Amounts are in Polish złoty (PLN) only.
- Offline mode covers viewing recently loaded data and adding expenses; changing categories, the budget or settings needs a connection.
